A$AP Rocky and Jeremy Scott got one cover for the Feb/March ’12 issue of Complex, and Lana Del Ray has the other. I know, great timing right? Fuck that though, because the homie Brad Wete did the cover story. If you don’t know the name, this is something you should get familiar with. Brad’s always been a humble dude and willing to offer advice, so congrats to that man….

Hers was a dramatic setup.

White balloons flashing corroded cartoon clips and ghostly images of President John F. Kennedy—all set to the creepy strains of Bernard Herrmann’s Pyscho theme. The fans kept coming through the door, filling New York’s Bowery Ballroom to capacity. The band stood at attention, poised for action as Lana Del Rey strolled on stage to squeals and whistles. Dressed in a summery white dress, gold belt, and low white Chuck Taylors, the tall red-haired singer looked more like she was ready to grab an ice-cream sandwich from Mr. Softee than perform her first proper concert in NYC.

And then the trouble began.

The microphone worked, but the band’s sound failed. So she stood and waited.

“Where’s the music?” an impatient fan blurted out.

“It’s coming, bitch,” Lana snapped in a playfully bratty way. “Fucking technical difficulties up here.”

It’s been 15 years, so it’s only right.

The XXL team spoke to some of those closest to Big for an in-depth look into his life and death. From his kids T’Yanna Wallace and Christopher “CJ” Wallace and their mamas, Jan Jackson and Faith Evans, to his closest friends like members of Junior M.A.F.I.A. and others, many got their chance to share stories and more to pay homage to the beloved MC. Most even disclosed rare, never-before-published photos of Biggie from their personal collections, which are featured in this month’s issue. Since Big was the most swagger-jacked rapper of all time, there’s a list of the 100 best Biggie bites, a look a what The Notorious One might have looked like at 40 plus much more in the magazine.

Hip-hop’s ROY if back with a new video for “Wassup” off of Live.Love.ASAP. There are a bunch of other songs I wish he’d shoot video for (“Brand New Guy,” “Get Lit,” “Houston Old Head”) but this’ll do for now. It’s about to be a big week for the A$AP crew.

Typically, I don’t post BTS footage, but I’m kinda amped for this video-even if it coming out late. This was a sleeper hit though, Waka put it out, Drake hopped on it and it became a hit. I just hope it isn’t a let down, but can you ever really go wrong with a bunch of ass in the background?

Draya’s in this shit too. I predict it will drop on Super Bowl weekend.
